Update from DDSL to all club secretaries 7th September 2023

Players must be registered to DDSL and assigned to a team by 12 noon on Friday 8th September 2023

Failure to have enough players assigned to a team, will result in the teams fixture been withdrawn and therefore cannot be played.

Only players registered with DDSL through process below can paly in DDSL league matches.

New DDSL player registration fee

Dear Members
We have been made aware by the DDSL that a new fee has been introduced for all players.

Please note, this charge is outside our clubs control and is the same for all clubs who play in the DDSL league. The registration fee will be introduced for this coming season and players / parents are required to make this payment directly to the DDSL

It must be paid in order for players to play in the league. The DDSL Fusion Player Self Registration Portal is open and will remain open until 31st March 2024 during which all players can register to any DDSL Club once they are compliant with the rules of the FAI.

All parents will need to upload a picture, ID (passport/Birth cert) and pay the league fee of 30 euros + (€1.78 processing fee). The registration will only be complete when a club allocates the player to a team. Players cannot play in any DDSL matches if they are not registered. This ensures every player is on the team squad lists/match cards and is eligible to play. The DDSL has issued this guide for all parents to aid the completion of the DDSL Player Self Registration Process.

Following a few queries and questions received recently and the information already issued ,Please read important information below that should be shared to all within your club.

Registrations:

As of today ALL Clubs are active with over 12,100 players registered. Feedback has been very positive from parents and Sports Lomo have dealt with only 110 parent issues to date with all issues resolved.

The process stages are Parents register ,(select Club), League will approve (ID/Photo check), Club will Validate and then allocate player to team….then player is ok to play!

Please note all players registered on the system will be active/approved as of today 6pm.

It is important to note that registrations with mistakes such as no club, wrong DOB, ID or other errors will be amended by the league only and any queries relating to this should be sent to registrations@ddsl.ie .

All such requests already received will be processed in the next 24 hours.

The DDSL will provide a self-service video to allow clubs place their active players to their squad which will follow tomorrow. Please concentrate on u17’s/u18’s first as they kick off this weekend.

Please note the DDSL will validate all teams this weekend to ensure they have the required number of player to fulfil the fixture. Clubs who have not got the required numbers of players allocated to their squads are in breach of rules and will have their games postponed.
